DF (Workshop [nailing])

Today was a very productive day. We finally learnt how to assemble the stem to the base. While Mr Ward was showing us how to, he used my lamp as the example. We learnt about he power drill and how to make a pilot hole. It was really fun. When we assembled my lamp together we test the balance and failed. It kept falling forward and therefore was not stable. As a backup I decided to cut off just under 5cm of aluminium form the top to make it more stable. I then used the sanding mahine to smooth out the sharp edges and the tested it again it finally worked out to be stable which was a relief.
