Yesterday in DF, my partner and I had a very productive day. The first thing we did was we used the router to cut out the river which we need to put PVA glue in later. It actually turned out very well. Although when we got to the edge of the board we left a line of wood at the end to keep it as a barrier for the glue and blue paint so it does not leak. Then when we finished routing, we then started to make the mountain and used chicken wire and newspaper to get the right shape of our mountain. During this, we made sure that there was a dip for a pool at the top of the mountain for the water that will create the waterfall. This is our progress so far:

Friday was a very productive day. In class Mr Ward taught us how to make mountains for our resort in some people want to make a water fall or something like that which is very useful for me and my partner because we are making one. In class we also got some time to continue with our resort. The next job my partner and I did was to drill out a river with the router but we didn't get enough time to do this. These are some photos of what we did.

Today in Design and Technology was a very productive day. My partner Macenzie and I worked on the ideation of our sustainable resort. It included an isometric drawing of the resort and an isometric drawing of the huts that will be put within the resort. So far we have all of the measurements of the huts and the resort itself. The energy generation we will be using in the resort will be wind turbines which will provide electricty and power to the resort which won't damage the environment. Also in the lesson, Wardy showed the class and I how to put PVA glue and blue paint into a "pool". The process is to mix a lot of glue with a small portion of blue paint and then mix. Then you must pour it in the "pool" and it will eventually dry to a wonderful "pool". Therefore today was a really productive lesson.

DT (IDEATION)
For the past week in Design and Technology my partner and I have been ideating our resort. So far it will be in a rainforest type environment and for the energy generation that we will include is through using wind turbines which will generate a large amount of energy. This is our design so far:

DT (Router)
Today was a very productive day. Today we learnt how to use the router and me and my partner, Makenzie also started to ideate our sustainable resort. So far the plan for our resort is to be in a rainforest with a water bottle. This is what it looks like so far.

DT 2
For the past week in Design and Technology we went through the design brief for this term and we learnt how to make the board for our resort. Although we did not get enough time to start making our board my partner and I began to discuss ideas about our resort and where it will be set for example, in the desert, the rainforest or an island. However we made the decision to make it in a rainforest.

Design and Technology
Yesterday was the first lesson of Design Futures, or otherwise known now as Design and Technology that we have had this year. During this lesson, Mr Ward explained our topic for this term. Our topic is to build a self sustaining resort with a partner. However if you hadn't finished your mechanism from last year you were allowed to finish and complete that however I completed mine last year which was good.
